Job Description:
PM Kidz is a multidisciplinary pediatric practice in Waldorf and Hollywood, MD currently seeking a talented and motivated Speech Language PathologistAssistant (SLPA) to join our Speech Therapy Program. As a Speech LanguagePathology Assistant (SLPA), your responsibilities typically include supporting licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in treating individuals with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
Implement Treatment Plans
Under the guidance of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will assist in conducting therapy sessions and implementing individualized treatment plans. This may involve working with clients one-on-one or in group settings, depending on the environment.
Document Client Progress
You will be responsible for accurately recording and documenting each client’s progress during therapy sessions. This includes maintaining detailed notes on treatment goals, objectives, and session outcomes.
Provide Therapy Support
You will support clients during therapy sessions by helping them practice exercises and activities that target speech, language, and swallowing improvement. This may include assistance with articulation, language development, fluency, voice, or swallowing exercises.
Educate and Support Clients and Families
You will provide education and guidance to clients and their families, explaining therapy strategies, recommending home practice activities, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Job Requirements:
• Licensed/Eligible to apply license in MD
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Pediatric Clinical Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Professional, enthusiastic, and caring demeanor with great communication skills
