Office Information

What days and hours is PM Kidz open?

We are open Monday – Friday from 4pm to 10pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Where is PM Kidz located?

We are located at 603 Post Office Road, Suite 108, Waldorf, MD 20602.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. All patients are seen in the order of arrival except for critically ill or injured children and infants less than two months of age. Please see our services for further details.

Do I need a referral?

PM Kidz is an after-hours acute care practice, so no referral is necessary.

How is PM Kidz different from a “traditional” urgent care or emergency room?

At PM Kidz, we offer specialized pediatric care for patients from birth to 21 years old. While traditional urgent cares can’t always guarantee your child will see a pediatric provider, at PM Kidz we focus solely on children. As a pediatric facility, all staff have specialized pediatric training to provide the best care for your child. We also have shorter wait times then the emergency room and are less expensive.


What age patients are seen at PM Kidz?

We see newborns to 21 years of age.

What services do you provide?

PM Kidz offers a wide variety of after-hours medical care and has the ability to diagnose and treat many conditions. For a list of the conditions we treat, see our services.

Do you provide x-rays or stitches?

No, we currently do not offer on-site x-rays or laceration care (stitches, skin glue or staples).

Will my child be seen by a pediatrician at PM Kidz?

Our medical team includes pediatricians and nurse practitioners with pediatric experience. There is a physician available at all times for consultation.

When should I go to the emergency room?

While we provide a wide variety of acute pediatric services, there are some conditions that may require a higher level of care than we can offer. For help deciding if PM Kidz or the Emergency Room is right for your child, click here.

Do you provide vaccinations or well child check-ups?

We do not provide well child checks or routine immunizations. We believe every child should have a primary care physician for these services. PM Kidz is an after-hours pediatric clinic during hours when your primary physician in unavailable.

Do you offer sports physicals?

Yes, PM Kidz provides Sports Physicals. However we encourage all well-child physicals to be scheduled with your primary care provider.

Do you see chronic care patients such as those with autism, diabetes or seizure disorders?

We will see any patient for acute care conditions listed on our services page. Patients requiring specialized care related to their chronic condition should continue going to their primary care provider and specialist.

Will my Pediatrician know about my visit?

Yes. A summary of your visit is faxed to your primary care physician’s office immediately after your visit. In addition, some conditions require us to call the primary provider for consultation or follow-up. We view our relationship with your primary provider as a partnership to provide the best care for your child.

Can I get advice over the phone?

We are unable to provide medical advice over the phone unless your child has been seen by our clinic. If your child has been seen by our clinic, we are more than happy to answer any follow-up questions or provide any information pertaining to your recent visit. In addition, most pediatrician offices have a phone triage line to provide parents after-hours advice.


How much does PM Kidz charge?

Visit costs are based on services rendered. At the time of service, we will verify your insurance and estimate your Urgent Care patient responsibility cost. We will collect any required co-pays at the time of service. The remaining charges will be submitted to your insurance company. Self-pay patients will be provided with the fee-schedule for all services. For your convenience, we accept debit/credit cards and cash payments.

Does PM Kidz accept insurance?

We accept most insurance plans. For a complete list of insurance plans that we accept, click here. If your insurance carrier is listed, you will be responsible for your copayment, coinsurance and any deductible required by your carrier.

What if I don’t have insurance or my insurance carrier is not accepted at PM Kidz?

For those patients who don’t have insurance coverage or who are out-of-network, PM Kidz offers an affordable self-pay plan. Please call or visit us for more information.
